After learning that the fashion industry produces 10% of all humanity’s carbon emissions, I stopped consuming fast fashion.

How many times you use your items count as to how sustainable they are from my sustainability point of view. I used to be a fan of a “One Time Only” wearing, but I didn’t know the impacts when I supported the fast fashion industry. After learning that the fashion industry produces 10% of all humanity’s carbon emissions, it is the second-largest consumer of the world’s water supply and pollutes the oceans with microplastics; I then stopped. Since I am now more concerned about my impact on the planet, I make sure every fashion product I buy will get as many uses and have a long life in my closets.

Rothy’s is a new brand I have loved for quite some time now. They use eco-friendly materials, but they also own and operate their sustainability manufacturing workshop with high standards.

When I found out about our Rothy’s, I was very impressed with their production process. They transformed 45+ million plastic water bottles into their signature material—spun from water bottles—with marine plastic collected within 30 miles of coastlines and marine environments.

When you purchase the shoes, they ship their shoes directly in their boxes (no box-in-box waste) and offset carbon with every order.

Today I am going to share my thoughts on the new shoes I got (#gifted) from Rothy’s called “The Point“.

What I love about these shoes are:

I love the classic style and the neutral color I picked (Ecru) because these shoes will be easy to pair with any outfit. They are very snug, fitted, and won’t come off of your feet when walking or running. The best part I love most about Rothy’s shoes is that you can pop them in a washing machine, but make sure to let them air dry.

It is a perfect pair of shoes for everyday life.

What I recommend before you buy:

Since the shoes are supper snugged, I recommend ordering half a size up as the toe part is quite tight, and it won’t stretch much even after a more extended period of wearing them. Make sure you love the color you choose as you will get the most use out of your shoes. The price is quite high, but I think it’s worth it, investing in shoes that you could wear with any outfit, any day.
